Mass.-based DLP vendor Vericept announced Wednesday that Sigma Partners is leading a group of investors who will pony up $8 million in follow-on investments in the company. Vericept claims more than 800 customers for its products that are intended to streamline compliance, prevent data breaches and protect against the loss of intellectual property.
NitroSecurity, which sells security information and event management and intrusion prevention systems, has bought out RippleTech, which specializes in database activity monitoring and log management. “The combination of SIEM and log management capabilities…is an offering we are going to start to see more often,” says Mike distributed by NitroSecurity.
