The Association of Banks-in-Insurance will hold a video conference on bank insurance powers Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT.
The video conference will be offered free of charge at 15 sites across the country.
An expert panel will discuss evolving regulatory requirements for bank insurance sales, including how to reconcile national and state regulatory requirements; recent federal regulatory developments, and how to operate an insurance agency in a town of 5,000. Members of the audience will be able to ask the panel questions.
The panel is expected to include Julie Williams, general counsel for the Comptroller's Office; James McIntyre, general counsel for the bank insurance group; Lee Douglass, Arkansas insurance commissioner; and Rick O. Bowman, president of U.S. Bancorp Insurance Agency.
