ViewPoint Bank Funds Senior Crimestoppers Program at Senior Center

PLANO -- The seniors living atThe Meadows Health and Rehab Center in Dallas will have a safer environmentthanks to the Senior Crimestoppers Program that ViewPoint Bank issponsoring at the facility. ViewPoint Bank is funding the program throughthe Senior Housing Crime Prevention Foundation, Inc., an organizationdevoted to reducing crimes in the nation's senior housing facilities.

"Crime against nursing home residents happens more than we'd like tothink," said ViewPoint Bank Community Reinvestment Officer KimWeaver-McDonald. "We're thrilled to sponsor a program that will provide asafe, secure living environment for residents and staff."

The SHCPF and ViewPoint Bank will hold a dedication ceremony at thecenter Wednesday, December 12 at 10 a.m. at 8383 Meadows Road, Dallas, TX75231. ViewPoint Bank President and CEO Gary Base will speak at theceremony as will representatives from the Texas Bankers Association, TheSHCPF and The Meadows.

The primary components of the Senior Crimestoppers Program includepersonal lockboxes for residents to help prevent theft and loss of personalproperty; an anonymous round-the-clock tip line; and cash rewards totipsters who help solve or prevent an incident.
