SEATTLE - Washington Mutual Inc. said it is offering online access to financial planning, stock trading and research, and investment information on its mutual funds through a single portal.

The $188.6 billion-asset thrift company said last week that the portal,, would let the company gather consumer feedback and develop customized products. Wamu also said it expects the portal to improve customer loyalty to its financial services and funds businesses, boosting fee income

The company said people could reach the three sites through individual Web addresses, through its corporate Web address, or through the portal.

Wamu said it would add an insurance site this year.

Webmotion Inc. of Ottawa developed the proprietary functions featured on the sites.
