Wells Fargo Insurance Services of Chicago has hired Dan Vecchio as managing director and national practice leader of its professional risk group.

The group provides consulting services to help protect customers from financial risks associated with corporate governance, errors and omissions, employee practices liability, and environmental liability.
The Wells Fargo & Co. unit, which announced the hiring last week, is the fifth-largest insurance brokerage and the largest bank-owned one in the United States, with more than 150 offices in 38 states. Its 4,500 insurance professionals place more than $10.5 billion of risk premiums, with expertise in property, casualty, benefits, international, personal lines, and life products.
