Western Union Bill Pay Update at Kmart

Sears Holding Corp.'s Kmart has begun offering an improved version of Western Union Co.'s walk-in bill-payment service.

The service allows people to pay bills at any of the more than 1,200 U.S. Kmart locations. Unlike an earlier version of the service, it does not require forms to be filled out after the first transaction and it does not require "code cities" to identify certain billers.

"Western Union's enhanced bill-pay service provides a full slate of billers to pay with greater ease than before," Dave Schuvie, Sears' vice president for licensed businesses, said in a press release Monday. "Our associates also appreciate the streamlined, shortened payment process."
