WorldPay customers will be able accept remote mobile payments, proximity, online and point of sale transactions for both retail and transportation companies, CellPoint said Tuesday.

WorldPay, formerly RBS WorldPay, is using CellPoint's mPoint, mTicket and mRetail products.

"We selected CellPoint Mobile based on its best in class mobile solutions and ability to provide our customers with a fast time to market using proven technology," Gabriel Hopkins, the head of e-commerce products at WorldPay, said in a CellPoint press release.

WorldPay is partly owned by the private-equity firms Advent International Corp. and Bain Capital LLC, which acquired a majority stake in the processor from Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC. RBS, which retained a minority interest in the company, agreed to sell it as part of its bailout with European banking regulators.
