Contango Capital Advisors Inc., Zions Bancorp.'s wealth management arm, has hired Owen Brown as its chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

David Magee, the firm's former chief operating officer, was promoted to president of the Berkeley, Calif., company in June.
Mr. Brown was interim chief financial officer of Sports4Kids, a nonprofit organization.
Earlier he had been the chief financial officer for Transfair USA, the American certifier of Fair Trade goods, and the acting chief operating officer of Lozoic, an early-stage software company.
The hiring was announced Wednesday.
