Can't decide on a Halloween costume? The Occupy Wall Streeters have plenty of ideas!
According to the Associated Press, the protestors have been invited to participate in the Greenwich Village Halloween parade, and have set up a website encouraging their members to dress the part. Among their costume suggestions:
A story in the Village Voice suggests finding inspiration from other Occupy mainstays, such as pepper spray, journalists or Anthony Bologna, the New York Police Department detective notorious for spraying a group of penned-in female protestors.
Or better yet, go as a protester!
The AP interviewed one man who showed up to a friend's Halloween party with a sleeping bag and a toy megaphone, decked out in ripped jeans, flannel shirt and a "Live Free or Die" cap.
"We tried to incite the other partygoers," Mitch Robinson of Tacoma, Wash., told the AP. "Plus I loved that basically what I wore was perfect for raking leaves the next day."
