Under a three-year agreement announced Friday, VHA is to use the cards and BofA's ePayables service to reduce purchasing and vendor payment paperwork.

The relationship "will be a tremendous help for hospitals that want to reduce risks while managing costs surrounding purchases and payments," David Gillan, VHA's purchased services and strategic sourcing vice president, said in a press release. The Texas company serves 1,400 hospitals and 30,000 non-acute-care providers in the U.S.
