ID90 Technologies LLC, which provides 50,000 airline employees a means to buy discounted airfares on other airlines, this week added an online automated clearinghouse payment option, says Moneta Corp., which is providing the payment technology. The ACH option costs less to process compared with credit and debit cards, and it enables airline employees who do not have or do not want to use a payment card to buy airfare, Tristan Schukraft, ID90T managing director, tells CardLine. In most cases, Moneta says the cost is approximately 50% less than the cost of a credit card transaction, which may carry a fee of 1.9% and 2.5% per transaction. ID90T also accepts credit and debit card payments and soon will add PayPal as a payment option, says Schukraft. First Data Corp. is ID90T's credit and debit card processor. Airline employees enroll for the ACH option on the Moneta Web site, says a spokesperson for Atlanta-based Moneta. They then choose the Moneta payment option at checkout and complete the transaction, the spokesperson says. Moneta also is a payment option at Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines Inc. and Universal Air Travel Plan Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based corporate-airfare ticketing company. Moneta, which began operations in August, says it has 70,000 enrolled airline employees. ID90T is a unit of Los Angeles-based ID90 Group and has agreements with 24 airlines around the world. The company is named after the airline industry's standard employee identification badge, called an ID90.
