China-based payment-services provider Alipay.com has signed a deal with China-based online retailer Joyo Amazon to provide prepaid online-payment services to Amazon customers, Alipay says. Alipay says it has more than 80 million registered users. Consumers making purchases through the Amazon site with Alipay accounts will be eligible for promotional items such as gift cards, Alipay says in a statement. Alipay accepts debit and credit cards from at least six banks in China.
