Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank says it is issuing a credit card that will result in charitable contributions to the Red Crescent, a humanitarian group. The bank, based in the United Arab Emirates, issues Visa-branded cards. Transactions made using the Red Crescent cards will result in a contribution to the group, the bank says in a statement. The bank also will make fixed contributions to the group every time the financial institution issues a card. Abu Dhabi did not disclose the contribution amounts or rates, and immediate comment from the bank was not available. The United Arab Emirates Red Crescent Authority is a state-owned humanitarian aid body.
