Atos Origin and ING offer joint payment services

Consulting and IT services provider Atos Origin has collaborated with insurance conglomerate ING to offer end-to-end services for back-office payment-processing for European banks and corporations.The companies said the service enables banks to comply with EU regulations on payment-processing without re-engineering existing IT systems. For corporations, they said it includes a single, centralized in-house banking application that reduces payment-processing costs.Rob Pols, chief executive at Atos Origin, said: "Partnering with ING offers a unique one-stop-shop offer in which economies of scale, speed, and the ability to execute strengthens our ability to deliver a high level of service to our internationally operating customers in the payment sector."
