More than 60% of Australian consumers are likely to use contactless payment cards, according to survey findings from MasterCard Worldwide. The findings are based on surveys of 7,000 consumers in 13 countries. About 87% of South Korean respondents say they use less cash than five years ago, while 82% of New Zealand respondents and 80% of Australian respondents said the same thing. The survey also showed that 88% of Australian respondents felt uncomfortable carting large amounts of cash in their wallets.
