Barclaycard, the credit card issuing arm of United Kingdom-based Barclays PLC, hopes to introduce a loyalty scheme in the next year, a Barclaycard spokesperson confirms. "It is something we are looking at," the spokesperson tells CardLine Global without providing more details. The scheme reportedly would enable Barclaycard customers to earn rewards when making purchases with Barclaycard-affiliated merchants. Barclaycard has some 90,000 retailers in its acceptance network and about 11.7 million UK cardholders.
