Canada's Mint Technology To Expand Prepaid In UK

Mint Technology Corp. has signed a prepaid card-issuing deal with United Kingdom-based APS Financial Ltd., a subsidiary of Advanced Payment Solutions Ltd. APS will be the "issuing bank for Mint's prepaid products in the UK," Toronto-based Mint says in a statement. Mint develops prepaid programs using MasterCard-branded cards. The deal also calls for APS to work with MasterCard on legal and regulatory issues, marketing, and consumer communications, Mint says in the statement. The Canadian firm did not respond to a CardLine Global request for comment.
