Cardtronics Changes Exec Roles in Global Leadership Shift

ATM operator Cardtronics has expanded the roles of two executives as it transitions its commercial, operational and technology leadership to a more global level.

Jonathan Simpson-Dent, managing director of Cardtronics Europe since 2013, has assumed the title of chief commercial officer as his duties expand to include global responsibility for sales, product development, transaction growth, international expansion and marketing.

Edward West, who joined this year as chief financial officer has taken on the added role of chief operations officer, leading the company in global operational effectiveness and profitability.

The moves come as David Dove, president of the North American Business Group, prepares to leave the company later this year when his contract ends, Cardtronics said in a July 7 news release.

"Establishing global leadership across our commercial, operational and technology functions reflects our evolution into a global growth company,” Steve Rathgaber, chief executive of Cardtronics, said in the release.
