The company has launched a new version of its iPhone app compatible with iOS 8. This application allows customers to add the Check widget to their notification center so they can view bills and pay them immediately. The app also supports fingerprint authentication.

Check also updated its iPad app with a revamped bills navigation page where customers can schedule bill payments, manually mark when bills are paid, and scan their credit card with the phone's camera to streamline the payment process.

Earlier this year, Check installed photo bill pay for customers who have a smartphone camera.  Its app is used by more than 11 million customers, the company says.
