Circle K Stores Agree To Accept MasterCard PayPass

MasterCard Worldwide today announced that 1,500 Circle K Stores Inc. locations across the country would accept PayPass contactless credit and debit cards. Circle K, which is owned by Canadian-based Couche-Tard Inc., has 2,100 locations in the U.S. The number of PayPass cards and devices in the market grew to more than 50 million at the end of the fourth quarter, according to a MasterCard statement. The Purchase, N.Y.-based card company did not respond to a request for comment by deadline.
