CRE Secure Payments LLC last week announced a partnership with PayPal Inc. in which CRE Secure will offer its HTML Clone as PayPal’s preferred Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliance service for merchants using PayPal’s Payments Pro and PayFlow Pro payment tools.
Payments Pro enables merchants to accept payment cards, and PayFlow Pro is a payment gateway that connects an online store to an existing Internet merchant account.
“Implementing our compliance provider is essentially a retention tool for PayPal,” Greg McGraw, CEO of Atlanta-based CRE Secure, tells PaymentsSource. PayPal has recognized the value for their merchants who prefer to become PCI compliant in a quick and efficient manner, he adds.
A representative from San Francisco-based PayPal was not immediately available to comment on the partnership.
