Datacard Group, a leading provider of identification and card-personalization services, on July 22 announced the acquisition of long-time partner Datacard South Pacific Pty. Ltd.
Previously a Datacard Group distributor and joint-venture affiliate, Datacard South Pacific provides pre- and post-sales support for the broad range of Datacard Group’s secure ID and card-personalization systems and software in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The company now is a wholly owned subsidiary of Minnetonka, Minn.-based Datacard Group.
As part of the new organization, Datacard Group has appointed Michael Robertson as regional director–South Pacific, reporting to Angus McDougall, Datacard Group regional vice president for Asia Pacific. Robertson has held numerous sales and services roles with Datacard South Pacific since joining the organization in 1999.
