Engage Financial Technology, a provider of prepaid card programs for banks, healthcare providers, retailers and other organizations, has partnered with software provider Ensenta for a cloud-based approach to loading funds to prepaid cards.
Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Ensenta has integrated its API-based software into Engage’s platform, enabling financial institution customers to quickly load funds to prepaid cards using remote deposit capture technology, Ensenta said in a Jan. 3 press release.
The new approach increases speed, security and convenience for users, and enhances the longevity of prepaid cards issued by banks and other organizations, according to the release.
“Our risk-mitigation tools, remote deposit capture and payments solutions for banks, credit unions and government agencies fundamentally improve a customer’s experience by providing a practical tool for loading funds from mobile devices to payment cards,” said Louise Steller, Ensenta’s vice president of product, in the release.
San Diego-based Engage sought the partnership with Ensenta to increase the appeal of prepaid card products for everyday use for bank customers and those that don’t currently have a bank account. “Our platform is able to keep a financial institution ‘top of wallet’ through repeated positive and seamless user experiences,” added Mike Corrales, Engage’s vice president of marketing.
