Point-of-sale terminal maker ExaDigm Inc. has released the SV100 integrated payment system for use with such equipment as electronic cash registers and vending machines. The SV100 can send transaction data to processors via a broadband Internet connection, a wireless telephony connection or a back-up dial connection. The device connects to cash registers using a cable, and it can send card data captured either by the cash register's built-in magnetic stripe reader or by a reader attached to the register. ExaDigm previously told CardLine sister publication ISO&Agent weekly the SV100 could cost $250 not including a modem. Santa Ana, Calif.-based ExaDigm also released the TS100 system for use with taxis and limousine and shuttle services. The TS100 uses a wireless modem to connect transactions to payment networks. ExaDigm did not have an estimate for the price of the TS100.
