Looking to further diversify its income channels, Al Ansari Exchange Ltd. has signed an agreement to accept payments from National Bank of Abu Dhabi’s credit cardholders, the exchange house announced earlier this week.

Al Ansari is the United Arab Emirates’ largest exchange house.

“Cardholders would be able to make their credit card bill payments through any of the exchange’s 110 branches across the UAE free of charge,” a spokesperson for the exchange tells PaymentsSource.

The companies struck their agreement so the bank’s cardholders would have easy access to a much broader range of card-payment facilities all over the United Arab Emirates, he adds.

The exchange house will be able to garner high-value customers by working with the bank, the spokesperson notes. “We expect these credit cardholders to be using other Al Ansari services as well,” he says.

Al Ansari Exchange has similar strategic partnerships with more than 19 banks across the UAE, according to the spokesperson.
