Payments technology tester and certifier Fime will serve a one-year term to represent the technical associates program on the EMVCo board of advisors.
The EMVCo board provides feedback to its standards body for EMV-chip card use and supports executive committee discussions regarding specification enhancements for global EMV migrations, mobile point of sale and tokenization.

EMVCo is the EMV technical body collectively owned by American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, UnionPay and Visa. Fime previously joined EMVCo as a technical associate in 2013 to follow and contribute to its work.
"Our aim to bring standardization and interoperability to payments is closely aligned with EMVCo's mission," Fime's Stephanie El Rhomri stated in a May 7 press release.
El Rhomri serves as the NFC and payments business line manager at Fime and is also a member of the EMVCo board of advisors.
