Manos was previously CTO of the AOL Brand business unit and has also held positions at Nokia, Digital Realty Trust, Microsoft, Walt Disney and Nuclio Corp. At First Data, Manos will be responsible for the processor's global technology infrastructure and will report to company president Guy Chiarello.

Manos is a seasoned technology management executive with a proven track record, Chiarello says in an April 4 press release. "His knowledge and expertise enhances our ability to provide our clients with cutting-edge technology."

Last month, First Data named its CEO, Frank Bisignano, as the company's chairman. First Data hired Bisignano a year ago; he was previously co-chief operating officer at JPMorgan Chase.
