Among First Data Corp.'s three business segments, the processor's international business experienced the largest spike in second-quarter revenue, rising 20% to $473.1 million from $395 million during the same period last year. During a conference call with analysts this week, Michael Capellas, First Data chairman and CEO, said a processing agreement with Allied Bank of Pakistan and a contract with retailer Spar Austria for ATM service and equipment helped drive the unit's revenue growth. The Greenwood Village, Colo.-based company's international business' operating profit declined 9% to $31.6 million from $34.8 million. An accounting change and the bankruptcy of a customer contributed to the decline, First Data said.
