The university will integrate ACI's software with its current technology. The school has a total enrollment of approximately 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

More than 300 colleges and universities utilize ACI's payment processing software, ACI says in a July 28 press release. "We are pleased to provide Franklin University with a convenient and secure online tuition and fees payment option," said Eric Labiak, senior vice president at ACI Worldwide, in the release.

ACI expanded its reach in electronic bill payment technology last year by purchasing Official Payments Holdings, and in 2011 it acquired S1 to bolster its financial services technology.
