Seeking to help its clients benefit from consumers who increasingly shop online or through mobile devices, GoDaddy Operating Co. LLC has launched its online store product for small businesses.
GoDaddy Online Store is part of the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based online domain registrar's strategy to allow merchants to expand their business with an e-commerce presence.
The product helps small businesses with any level of online experience build a customized Web store, GoDaddy said in a Nov. 6 press release.
GoDaddy handles all of the site construction and coding, while the merchant supplies store name, product descriptions and price points.
The built-in processing tool allows merchants to accept payments from multiple sources, including PayPal and all major credit cards, GoDaddy said.
Over one million small business owners want to build an e-commerce site every year, but dont always have affordable, easy-to-use and effective tools, Raj Mukherjee, GoDaddy's general manager of presence and commerce, stated in the release.
GoDaddy Online Store represents an "easy, intuitive solution, giving customers a professional-looking e-commerce website that takes the guesswork out of running a small business online, Mukherjee added.
