Google's mobile wallet, Android Pay, can now be used for in-app purchases on Android devices.
Only a limited number of apps will employ Android Pay to start, but Google said more apps will roll out the payment method "in the next few months,"
As part of the rollout, certain apps accepting Android Pay will offer discounts when consumers use the payment method. These apps include Lyft, OpenTable, DoorDash and Vinted.
For apps that have enabled Android Pay, consumers can go through mobile checkout and pay by selecting the Android Pay button in the app. Then, consumers must confirm their information to complete the payment.
