Heartland Payment Systems Inc. of Princeton, N.J., has added an automated clearinghouse feature to its Express Funds remote deposit service.
Users would be able to send or receive funds for one-time and recurring payments via the ACH system. Users could handle those transactions on paper, online or over the phone, according to the merchant processor.
“Our clients are looking to streamline their check-management systems. … The ACH functionality also gives business owners access to a service-oriented architecture that allows for easy integration with their current software,” Tim McKenna, Heartland director of check and ACH services, said in a March 3 press release.
Users also would receive an import file for use with their accounting software.
“Having a unified payment system is key to maximizing our operations as a medical billing company,” Jeffery Linn, chief financial officer of Pacific Medical Management Services Inc., said in the release.
