Ingenico Q3 Revenue Up

Ingenico S.A., a France-based point-of-sale terminal maker, says its third-quarter 2008 revenue was 190.1 million euros (US$243.7 million), a 33% increase from the 142.7 million euros in revenue for the 2007 third quarter. Ingenico had not released net income figures as of CardLine's deadline. Third quarter regional revenue for the period ending Sept. 30 was mixed, Ingenico says. Asia-Pacific saw 2008 third-quarter sales of 16.9 million euros compared with 16.1 million euros in the 2007 third quarter. Northern Europe also saw an increase, reaching 33.8 million euros in the third quarter compared with 23.7 million euros in the same period last year. Southern Europe revenue figures also increased, hitting 42.4 million euros versus 32.5 million euros. Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa had 2008 third-quarter revenue of 34.5 million euros compared with 17.1 million euros revenue in the same quarter a year ago. Latin America experienced an increase to 36.4 million euros in third-quarter revenue compared with 27.2 million euros in 2007 third-quarter revenue. North America, which Philippe Lazare, Ingenico CEO, said during a conference call with analysts is slowing down, had flat revenues of 26.1 million euros in the third quarter results.
