Jusp, an Italian maker of mobile payment systems, is offering its technology on Nokia's Windows-based Lumia smartphones.
"Given the Microsoft Windows solution is the operating system of choice for most merchants, having [a mobile point of sale] solution that works with Windows PCs as well as mobile phones and tablets brings enormous benefits to retailers," says Jacopo Vanetti, Jusp's CTO and co-founder, in a May 13 press release. The Milan-based startup's chip and PIN card reader also works with Windows PCs and iOS and Android mobile devices.
Jusp has two pricing options. It charges 2.5% per transaction with no monthly fee, or merchants can choose to pay
