The $1.8 billion-asset credit union is using the CardWizard software in all 15 of its U.S. branches in New England to help boost card use and activation rates, Datacard said.

“There are many benefits to offering instantly issued debit cards to our members,” says Wayne Dunn, senior vice president and chief technology officer at the Brockton, Mass.-based credit union. “First and foremost, the security and convenience of hand-delivering the card in the branch differentiates us and gives us a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

CardWizard can “interface” with HarborOne’s core banking system, which allows for simpler installation, Datacard said.

The credit union is using a card printer from Datacard to produce cards.
