MasterCard Europe said Monday it has appointed two executives to its European prepaid team. The card organization named Phil Davies to the product management team for the Prepaid Europe unit. MasterCard Europe also named Claire Dudley-Hodson as business leader, prepaid sales. Davies joined MasterCard in 2002 as business development director. Dudley-Hodson worked in prepaid and related areas at United Kingdom-based bank Alliance & Leicester, UK-based prepaid card provider Tuxedo Money Plus Ltd. and United States-based processor First Data Corp., MasterCard says in a statement. Also on Monday, Ceridian UK, a division of U.S.-based provider of human resource services Ceridian Corp., has selected While Eagle PLC to provide a payroll card program. Newcastle Building Society, a United Kingdom-based financial services provider, will issue the Ceridian Evolution Payroll Prepaid MasterCard. Besides wages, companies can load bonuses and cash rewards into the card account, according to a statement from Ceridian. Ceridian estimates the payroll card program could save up to 75% in administration fees when compared with check processing, according to the statement. Ceridian did not respond to requests for comment.
