MasterCard Enters Marketing Pact with Italian Food Vendor Eataly

Eataly, an international Italian food seller, will offer cooking lessons, tours, recipes signed by famous Italian chefs, and other perks to MasterCard customers.

The partnership includes access to offers through MasterCard's Priceless Cities program, covering merchants in large international cities such as New York, London, Paris and Miami. Eataly has 20 stores in Italy, Japan and the U.S. In Eataly's New York location, the Priceless Cities program already operates food and wine events dedicated to MasterCard cardholders.

MasterCard cardholders will also be able to use reserved entrances to stores before the normal opening time.

"Through this new partnership MasterCard and Eataly will not only deliver slow food and fast payments in Priceless cities around the world but will also enable us to maximize our Priceless platform by offering exclusive experiences for MasterCard customers," said Monica Biagiotti, marketing director for MasterCard Europe, in an Oct. 9 press release.
