The Butzbach, Germany-based Shopgate provides mobile optimized websites, mobile and tablet apps, and other services that connect offline marketing to mobile shopping. The partnership will combine Shopgate’s mobile services with the London-based DataCash's technology in areas such as payments execution, fraud and risk management.

“The collaboration will further enhance out offering in the U.K. market and we look forward to working with DataCash on all future projects,” says Filipe de Silva, Araujo, vice president of business development in the U.K. for Shopgate, in an Oct. 29 press release.

DataCash also recently entered into a partnership with mobile payments company Swiff, and another partnership with Redecard to support e-commerce in Brazil.

“Mobile commerce is quite different from traditional e-commerce, as mobile phones impose very different constraints than desktop computers,’’ says Simone Leevey, head of partner channel at DataCash, in a press release.
