MyECheck Sets New App Launch Schedule

MyECheck has established the required relationships to proceed with the launch of its mobile payment apps early next year, a delay from its originally planned mid-2014 launch date.

MyECheck explained in a Sept. 23 Tuesday that due to "a service partner delay," the company was not able to launch the apps according to its initial schedule. MyECheck expects all the apps to be available for download and use in January 2015.

MyECheck’s electronic check payment apps can be used on Apple and Android devices. Merchants do not need additional hardware to accept e-checks at the point of sale and do not have to pay interchange fees, according to the release.  The new relationships, which MyECheck did not identify, will also enable MyECheck to begin delivering services to its licensees and its wholly owned subsidiary, GreenPay, LLC.

MyECheck licensed its technology was to InterPay, Sierra Global and Itonis Holdings earlier this year.
