NBS Safeguards Data on Cell Phones

NBS Technologies, a provider of equipment for card personalization, is installing Xpressi Trusted Service Manager for a customer in Europe in early October.

The product works behind the scenes to make downloading payment account information onto a cell phone efficient and secure, the company says.

It integrates banking and mobile phone security systems to ensure credit card information remains secure, the release said.

"NBS has several years of experience working with Near Field Communication and the [product] is an extension of that expertise." Mike Fisher, software general manager for the Minneapolis-based vendor, said in a press release last week.
