NCR Corp. has customized a payment kiosk for E. Sun Bank in Taiwan, the first of its kind for the island nation.
The Duluth, Ga.-based tech firm’s E.Sun iPayment Kiosk will employ NCR APTRA Connections software to run on the kiosk and a fleet of new NCR SelfServ ATMs.
NCR APTRA Connections allows consumers to customize their ATM menu with pre-selected favorite transaction options that include their usual cash withdrawal amount, bill payments and bank transfers. With fewer screens to navigate, the customized menus are up to 33% faster than a typical ATM interaction, according to a March 4 NCR news release. The technology also helps the bank to recognize their customers and display personalized messaging, including birthday greetings.
NCR integrated the SelfServ 4 with other localized parts to customize self-service option for making credit card payments, which helps reduce lines at bank counters. Consumers can use the kiosk for a variety of transactions such as paying credit bills by entering card or identity card numbers, making account balance and rewards points inquiries as well as printing credit card statements at the kiosk. E.Sun Bank can use the kiosk to display ads based on the time and location.
E.Sun Bank will deploy the E.Sun iPayment Kiosk at one or two branches during the first quarter. The bank has 136 branches in Taiwan and 21 service points in six nations overseas.
