N.Y.’s M&T Bank Expands ATMs with Cardtronics

M&T Bank just added 120 more branded ATMs across New Jersey and Long Island, N.Y.

The move is an expansion on its agreement with ATM operator Cardtronics, which has already provided it with M&T-branded ATMs at 48 Speedway stores in Pennsylvania, according to an Aug. 9 news release. M&T Bank card customers now have surcharge-free ATM access at 55 Speedways in New Jersey and 65 on Long Island.

Speedway is the second largest company-owned and -operated convenience store chain in the U.S.

"M&T Bank's investment in this expansion of our ATM network signifies our commitment to our customers, and enables our customers to access M&T Bank more quickly and conveniently," Rich McCarthy, senior vice president for retail banking at M&T, said in the release.

Earlier this year, M&T expanded its retail branch network, converting 135 former Hudson City Savings Bank branches into M&T branches.
