Entertainment personality Sean "P. Diddy" Combs and the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission have teamed up to give away thousands of debit cards tonight to New Year's Eve partygoers. Ciroc Vodka, which is affiliated with Combs, is paying for the debit cards and distributing them in Times Square and the Chelsea section of Manhattan starting at 11 p.m., according to a company spokesperson. New Year's Eve partygoers can redeem the $15 MasterCard debit cards for taxi rides. The cards only work at taxi point-of-sale machines, according to a Taxi & Limousine Commission spokesperson. "The cards will be denied if they try them elsewhere," the spokesperson says. The cards are available till 3 a.m. or while supplies last. "New York is the world's most iconic New Year's Eve city, so let's lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn't just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely," says Combs in a statement.
