United States-based PayPal, an online-payment service owned by U.S.-based online-shopping site eBay Inc., says it has introduced a feature for customers in Singapore that enables them to load funds to their PayPal accounts directly from local bank accounts. Previously, customers in Singapore could use their credit cards to add value to their PayPal accounts. The limit for a single transaction under the new scheme will be US$10,000 (7,960 euros), PayPal says in a statement. PayPal says it serves 65 million accounts throughout the world.
