PayPal Redesigns App for Windows Phones

PayPal has released an upgraded app for Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system, adding several features already available on iOS and Android devices.

The updated app now supports options to redeem in-store offers and order ahead at local businesses. It also includes a feature to receive and pay for restaurant bills at the end of a meal.

The upgrade comes as the San Jose-based company has begun testing a "one-touch" mobile payment option with Braintree, based on its Venmo Touch system. EBay, PayPal's parent company, purchased Braintree in December.

PayPal's support of mobile devices also extends to smartwatches, including Google's Android Wear and Samsung's Gear products.
