Payvision, an Amsterdam, Netherlands-based payment-processing company, announced Friday it will begin offering payment-authentication services from CardinalCommerce Corp., a Cleveland-based payment-security company, to its merchants. CardinalCommerce's Centinel service enables merchants to accept payment-authentication programs and alternative-payment brands independent of online payment gateways, shopping-cart software and processors, Payvision says. The service is optional, a Payvision spokesperson tells CardLine. Resellers, who market Payvision services to merchants, will establish pricing for the authentication service, the spokesperson says. Payvision offers card-not-present processing services for Visa Inc., MasterCard Worldwide, American Express Co., Discover Financial Services, Diner's Club, Carte Blanche, JCB International Co. Ltd. and Carte Bleue, a French debit card program. Payvision says it has merchant clients in more than 40 countries using 150 currencies. CardinalCommerce says its Centinel services works with Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode, Amazon Payments, Bill Me Later and other payment services.
