Under the new system, applicants must provide a first name, last name, email address and password. Businesses must additionally provide their business name and structure. Applicants were previously required to fill out a longer profile, which can now be completed at the user's convenience.
"The new, one-step signup process replaces the current three-page process and reduces the time it takes for members to complete the account creation process," says Ali Nizameddine, executive vice president for product and technology, in a June 2 press release.
