Planet Payment Expands Agreement With JCB International

International payment processor Planet Payment Inc. has signed an agreement to provide additional processing services to JCB International, a subsidiary of JCB Co. Ltd., according to New York-based Planet Payment. Besides providing processing support to several JCB acquirers in Hong Kong, Planet Payment will provide back-end settlement and clearing for all merchants JCB acquires directly in Hong Kong. The agreement takes effect on or before June 1, according to Planet Payment. As of March 31, Planet Payment provided processing services for 8,360 merchant locations, according to the processor. A Planet Payment representative declined to comment on how many additional merchants' transactions it will process under the expanded JCB contract.
