Planet Payment Reorganizes Top Executive Ranks

International payment services provider Planet Payment has made changes in its executive leadership, naming Robert Cox president and Raymond D'Aponte chief financial officer.

The Long Beach, N.Y.-based payments and multi-currency processing company announced the changes in an August 10 news release.

Cox previously served as the companys senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. Additionally, he was appointed chief operating officer in January 2014, a role he will continue to fill. Previously, Cox served as CFO for market research firm Harris Interactive and automotive retail software company DealerTrack Holdings.

DAponte has served as Planet Payments senior vice president for finance since March 2014. He also worked for DealerTrack Holdings as senior director of corporate accounting and finance.

Both men will report to the companys chief executive, Carl Williams. Planet Payment provides international payment, transaction processing and multi-currency processing services in 23 countries.

Planet Payment has made several moves recently to bolster its international profile, including a partnership with Pay.On to expand mobile point of sale, m-commerce and e-commerce. Planet Payment also allied with BESOR to expand its service in Macau.
