Wirecard AG's card solutions business will issue a MasterCard for Pockit, a provider of prepaid cards.
Users of the reloadable Pockit Prepaid MasterCard Customers can make cash withdrawals at more than 1.9 million automated teller machines worldwide and reload their accounts at 37,000 U.K. PayPoints, the companies said in an Aug. 12 press release.
The prepaid card's users get discounts and cash-back offers from retailers such as Toys 'R' Us, Marks & Spencer's, New Look and Halfords.
"Together, we have developed an innovative prepaid card with features that allow customers to take control of their spending," said, Virraj Jatania, Pockit's founder and chief executive, in the release. "It was our objective to create a smart, simple and rewarding way for people to manage their money whilst offering low fees and easy online management."
